Fig is also on the lookout for a new home 😔💔
Fig is from a litter of 4 pups that we rescued and rehomed in March last year. He is now around 18 months old and needs an adult-only home that can help him to thrive.
Here is what Fig’s current family say about him:
“Fig is an incredibly handsome, loyal and playful dog. Sadly, he has not had the best start in life and has come all of the way from Romania, so we are not aware of his past and how he was treated. With this in mind, he is a little fearful of anyone that comes to the house and it takes him time playing outside first to get to know them. I just think he is territorial of where he lives and the area surrounding the house. Once you gain his trust, he is absolutely amazing.
It’s been my mission to make him the best dog he can possibly be. He knows all of the commands (sit, come, stay, leave it, touch, paw, speak, spin, lie down, roll over) and is very vocal. He can be let off-lead with no issues in areas away from his territory and loves to play with dogs too. Fig would do best in a one-dog household (preferably a smaller dog) with no children. Or just him on his own.
He is still uneasy with children, and I'm sure with the right training he would be amazing. He also needs at least one walk per day and an owner who loves to play, as he loves zoomies and a game of tug and ball.
With his history in mind, he can be reactive to some dogs. Most of the time he is fine. We are still training this out of him and he is getting much better. He is smart and a very quick learner. He would make an excellent pet to anyone who knows how to work with his needs.”
