Lend a hand.
Change a life.

You don't need experience. You just need to care.

Find your place in our dog's life.

We have roles for all kinds of people — whether you can give a few hours a week or a few hours a month. Every bit of time makes a real difference.

Dog Walking

Our dogs in kennels need regular walkers. We have walking teams across our kennel locations and you'll be fully briefed on each dog before you walk them. Whether you can commit to once a week or once a month, it makes a real difference to a dog who spends most of their day in a kennel run.

Fostering

The single most impactful thing you can volunteer for. See our dedicated fostering page for full details.

Transport

Dogs need moving. From airports to foster homes, from kennels to vet appointments, from foster homes to their new families. If you have a car, a crate, and some spare time, we need you.

Fundraising

Got an idea for a fundraising event? We'd love to hear it. From cake sales to sponsored walks, every pound raised goes directly to the dogs. See our fundraising page for ideas.

Event Support

We attend events and fairs throughout the year. Extra hands for setting up, manning stalls and talking to the public are always welcome.

Social Media

Sharing our posts costs nothing and can be the thing that finds a dog their home. If you have skills in photography, video, or content creation and want to donate your time, we'd be incredibly grateful. We've noticed our interaction is very low despite our follower numbers being high, and every share genuinely helps.

What we ask of you.

High Hopes runs on volunteers. Every walk, every transport run, every fundraising event, every social media share is powered by people who give their time because they believe every dog deserves better.

We have a fantastic team of regular dog walkers who visit our dogs in boarding kennels. This was started and is overseen by Sarah Mumfordkhan and hugely enriches the dogs' lives. Walking isn't just exercise for these dogs. For many of them, it's the highlight of their week. It's socialisation, confidence building, and a reminder that people can be kind.

If you're interested in volunteering with us please drop us an email or a message to the Facebook page.

No experience needed for most roles.

You don't need a background in animal care. We provide full guidance for every role. What matters most is your reliability and genuine commitment to the dogs.

Apply to volunteer.

Fill in our volunteer application form — it takes around 10 minutes. You'll be asked about your experience, the roles you're interested in, your availability, and two references. A member of the team will follow up.
