The very cheeky Lacey is in rehab with us. She came to us in December 2023 with her sister Lani.
Both girls were completely shut down and stood like statues, too scared to move. Lacey and Lani were rescued from one of Romania’s notorious public shelters. We don’t like to think about what happened to Lacey in there but we are teaching her to trust humans.
Lacey was more traumatised than her sister, she was spayed whilst she was pregnant in Romania which we think has had an impact on her.
Now, nearly 18 months later she has turned into the most wonderful girl. She LOVES to play, loves her friends. The next step for Lacey is getting her on the lead without panicking. We would imagine she has been caught with a catchpole which is why at the moment, the lead terrifies her.
