Please cover points such as anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding. A lot of these dogs won't have lived in a home before so won't have seen things like TVs and hoovers. Behavioural issues can arise during the settling in period whilst the dog is learning. Recommend to the adopter doing some research on the above.
We offer full rescue back up and will always take the dog back if needed. We try and set up chats with every adopter and fosterer so that they have easy access to us via Facebook or Whatsapp.
We offer full rescue back up for the life of the dog and will always take the them back if needed. We try and set up chats with every adopter and fosterer so that they have easy access to us via Facebook or Whatsapp. The adopter must not sell, pass on or give away the dog (not even to another rescue) that they have adopted from High Hopes Dog Rescue but they MUST return it back to us. The fosterer must not let someone else care for the dog in a home that has not been agreed to by High Hopes Dog Rescue.
Please read out the statement about rescue back up to the applicant

As part of our rescue back up agreement, should you come to the decision you need to return your dog, High Hopes will request a copy of any trainer/behaviourist reports or request that you engage one before returning your dog. Returning your dog should always be a last resort and whilst we will support you as much as we can as a rescue, we may request that you seek advice from a trainer/behaviourist. Our rescue back up agreement will ask you to sign that you agree to engage with a trainer/behaviourist to work with you on any behavioural issues.

As a foster based rescue, a space must be sought for your dog before we can accept them back into the rescue. This can often take time to organise and we are unable to facilitate immediate returns. For the welfare of the dog, we would ask that they remain in the home until a placement has been organised.
